Astrophysics for People in a Hurry By Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Overview – This book can be summarized by its title. The information put into this small book is great and highly informative. It lends to understanding the depth of the universe from its creation to the theories about what is happening now. It is a great book for someone who is a passerby in wanting to know more about Astrophysics.
Theme – Pamphlet for a lover of science or highlights of the cosmos for the passerby
Biggest takeaway – Neil informs readers that zodiac signs are not as powerful as people think and horoscopes are written so people can think their astrological sign they were born in has something to do with actions but very rarely does.
Overall Satisfaction – 7.0/10 Great read will probably revisit
Comments on the Author – Neil DeGrasse Tyson is the leading force for popularizing astrophysics in these modern times. Popular on Twitter and on all late-night shows he brings his humor, wit and vast wealth of knowledge to bring people closer to the stars. I have followed him for quite some time and I thoroughly enjoy watching any interview or show he is associated with. Bringing insight, thoughtfulness and understanding he never misses the mark of brilliance on camera or in his literary work. I was watching a show of his on Netflix one day and was astounded at his ability to recall information off the top of his head, as he told stories of Isaac newton and gravity. Looking back on it now I’m sure there was a teleprompter somewhere, but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoy any endeavor Neil is associated with.
